STARBUCKS KOREA / INDEPENDENCE DAY
Blue and white porcelain is a prominent ceramic style during Joseon Dynasty. For the Independence Day 2016 collection for Starbucks Korea, a layout and illustration style from those porcelains are used, along with the Geon Gon Gam Yi (meaning heaven, earth, water, fire) pattern from the Korean flag.
By combining the fluid illustration in ultramarine and the geometric shape of Geon Gon Gam Yi in dark silver metalic, a modern twist is added to this very Korean collection.
